Vicent Martínez

Vicent Martínez is a graphic and industrial designer, specialized in residential and community furniture and equipment. He trained at the EASD School in Valencia and at the Escola Massana in Barcelona.

He currently works as an independent designer from his studio in the city of Valencia.

Co-founder of the company Punt Mobles in 1980. A benchmark Spanish and international design company, he served as designer and general manager there from its foundation until 2011, the year in which the company was acquired by an investment group. He is the designer of the Spanish design icon “La Literatura”, an object where he expresses his way of thinking from design. He has received a significant number of awards, highlighting the 1997 Spanish National Design Award, in his company category. His list of current clients includes the companies: AIDIMME Instituto Tecnológico, Capdell, Cármenes, Equipo drt, Mad Lab, Point, Punt and Vilagrasa. He teaches courses at the Elisava schools in Barcelona and Ceu – Cardenal Herrera University – in Valencia.

His designs are included in publications, private collections, and in the permanent collections of the Museu del Disseny, Barcelona, the Museum fur Angewandte Kunst in Cologne, and the Staatliches Museum Für Angewandte in Munich.
